• IASTM

IASTM is another soft tissue technique that uses metal instruments similar to Graston tools to work on areas of the body that may be tight or have become inhibited neurologically due to bad posture, previous injury or other biomechanically and neurologically driven reasons.

It is well known that our brain is in control of every part of our body; hence providing sensory awareness will in turn activate corresponding regions in the brain and potentially reduce threat so the patient can learn to use that region of their body better without fear of possible injury. IASTM is a fantastic tool to help inhibited or tight muscles improve their blood flow locally. However, IASTM has additional neuro feeback benefits and facilitates the neural connection between the muscles and the brain through providing external input to those muscles via instruments.
