• Bridgette Weir, MPT

    Physiotherapist

Bridgette is fascinated by the adaptability and resilience of the human body and is passionate about helping people become and stay active in whichever ways are most meaningful to them. When it comes to treatment, Bridgette believes that no one treatment approach works for every client, and feels that a customized and flexible approach to care is key. She often combines a variety of modalities into treatment plans including hands on techniques, electrophysical modalities, personalized exercise prescription and thorough patient education to help clients reach their therapeutic goals.

Bridgette graduated from the University of British Columbia with her Masters of Physical
Therapy, following the completion of her undergraduate degree in physical education and coaching. Since then, Bridgette has developed a special interest in pelvic floor physiotherapy and has pursued additional post-graduate training in this area including courses in: urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, pregnancy & pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain, diastasis rectus abdominis, preparation and recovery following caesarean delivery among others.

Bridgette is passionate about continuing education, and is constantly looking to further her training whether through formal means, reading and self-education or through collaboration with colleagues.

Bridgette has also completed training in anatomical neuropathic intramuscular stimulation (IMS/dry needling), and is on the dry needling roster with the college of physical therapists of BC.

Bridgette is also the proud mother of her son Declan. In her down time, she can be found spending time with her family, exploring our beautiful province, cooking, baking and staying active!
