Liam graduated from the University of East London in the UK in 1992 with a BSc(Hons) degree in Physiotherapy. He spent the next 11yrs working in NHS hospitals in London in a variety of settings, covering inpatient care on medical, orthopedic, pediatric and elderly wards, and extensively in a busy outpatient department which he eventually managed. Liam spent the next 10yrs working in a busy private practice in North London as one of the lead therapists.

Since graduating Liam has completed many postgraduate courses. These include acupuncture, muscle balance techniques (similar to Pilates), myofascial release techniques, trigger point work, Society of Orthopaedic Medicine peripheral joint assessments levels I + II, Mulligan’s techniques of NAGs, SNAGs and MWMs, strapping/taping, grade V osteopathic techniques and Upledger CranioSacral therapy. Liam moved to Port Moody from the UK in 2013 with his wife and two young children. The family has become fully immersed in the BC lifestyle, enjoying the great outdoors and becoming involved in local sports. Having completed multiple Tough Mudder/Spartan type events in the UK Liam has extended his range and now enjoys running ultra marathons on the trails and has completed the Penticton Challenge.

Liam likes to employ a holistic approach to the assessment and treatment of his patients. While valuing comprehensive diagnoses he will allow treatment plans to be flexible to follow the progression of the injury and address new symptoms/issues as they present. He uses a lot of manual therapy using a variety of techniques, ranging between deep tissue massage to very light touch subtle fascial gliding work.
