Rachael Hutchinson, PT

Rachael graduated from the University of East Anglia in England with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy. Previously, Rachael worked as a Registered Kinesiologist, graduating from SFU with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, certifications in Health and Fitness, and Occupational Ergonomics, and worked as both a teaching assistant and research assistant. In addition to in-clinic settings, she has experience in return-to-work, community outreach, rehabilitative hydrotherapy, and fall prevention. Her special interests are TMJ disorders, youth sports, and pelvic health.

Rachael continues to advance her knowledge base. She has taken courses in temporal mandibular joint disorders (TMJ), running mechanics, and pelvic health. Rachael has completed Level 1 and 2 Pelvic Health courses to educate and treat those that experience incontinence and pelvic pain.

Rachael treats clients holistically in order to get them back to what’s important to them: work, sport, spending time outdoors or with the kids, all is important. She aims to empower the client through education and functional exercise, allowing them to play an active role in their rehabilitation process. In her spare time, Rachael enjoys camping off the grid (aka no cell service), live music, coaching and playing volleyball, and travelling (fun fact: she’s been to 27 countries).
